i think we can work you in Zac!!!! Three and Three still is fine. I'll just leave the CBR 600rr at home and have Aftershocks deal with it another day or at the next AFM race...no hurry on it at all.

Thanks Dani, I really appreciate it. I'll make sure I've got my bike ready and got gas money in my pocket. Really getting kind of nervous. Cool

I'd say the chances of you getting that particular RV space are slim to none, seeing as how I plan on snagging it a day earlier. Very Happy

How about if I beat you at karting then you have to save the space for me???? Razz

For personal reasons, I no longer feel like I can dedicate the time and attention it would take to prepare for this trackday and be in the right mindset for it. Too much big stuff is piling on in life right now, neither of my bikes is in the kind of running condition I'd want for my first nerve-wracking trackday, and I don't have the time to get either of them up to standards right now.

So, unfortunately, I'm out. Sad This also means I'm selling my trackday spot in C group. Since it's so close to the date, and since I want to give someone else a better shot at enjoying the trackday I'm giving up, I'm selling the spot for $145... that's $30 less than I paid for it.

I'll cross-post this in classifieds, and hopefully someone will take it!

Do what you feel is best, but if your bike is in good enough shape to ride out to Lake B., then it's good enough to ride the C group with ZZ. Your first trackday shouldn't be a nerve-racking experience. It's all about learning the track so that you can really start to haul the NEXT time you're there. It's also just a chance to see what this whole trackday thing is all about. And there couldn't be a better place to do that than the C group with ZZ. Some of those riders act like there's a 65 mph speed limit! It's actually quite comical. So relax and go have some fun. You only live once.

Dan, of course, is 100% RIGHT ABOUT YOUR BIKE READINESS, AND YOUR RIDING ABILITY READINESS.
You can lead a horse to water, but you still can't make em drink. They'll still make it into this big scary monster that doesn't exist. So, you gonna give your spot to Ann, I know she wants to go BADLY!!!

There is so little prep work required to get a bike ready. As long as you have the coolant changed out, we can help you with all the rest, even at the track. And hell, come over to my place, and I'll help you swap out the coolant.

But if you really don't feel ok about it, then I am sure you'll be able to sell the spot quickly.

Okay, you guys convinced me not to be a pussy. Very Happy I had some personal reasons for bailing, but they're not critical, and hell... I could use the fun!

Dave, I'd love to take you up on that coolant-swapping offer. This newb can use all the help he can get. Got any time on Tuesday? PM me.

Dani, are we all still on for tomorrow night at Pluto's? I'm buying your dinner, btw... I owe you.

you just need to know you're confirmed, which it sounds like you are. When you get up there, we'll unload, go to registration (you just need to know your name), and then to tech (you'll get a slip for this).
Shoulda come to dinner with us tonight Zac, it was awesome!!!
Thanks Eugene, it was much appreciated.
The plan is semi set, sort of, and Dave, there should be four guys coming to your place with a car load of distilled water, some waterwetter, masking tape, etc.....we will do the tires Tomorrow instead! Thanks for your help getting the guys set up.

No worries, Dani. Smile

I'm excited for this trackday. Now I just gotta adjust my broken sleeping schedule so that I can actually get some damned sleep Thursday night. I'm currently an insomniac zombie. Banghead

STEVE! (at least, I think that's his name)

I still need to get your address so I can pick you up on my way to Dani's tomorrow morning, bright and early! Dani told me "across from Circle K", but where across from Circle K?!

Call me and leave a voicemail (my phone will be off so I can get some damned sleep) : 408 621 3308

Or PM me!
